Welcome to Cynthia Joyce Kremsner's Website.

Like many artists, Cynthia has loved the power of a pencil and pen since she was a young child. They are tools used to render other worlds, worlds to escape into, and to create journeys that bring us back to our own world with new insight.

As an aspiring author/illustrator Cynthia Joyce loves the challenge of creating characters people can relate to. She feels compelled to add a dose of humor throughout her work where appropriateness allows.
 
Cynthia has been named Illustrator Coordinator representing the Northern Nevada Region of the Society of Children's Books Writers & Illustrators. She has served on conference committees as well as facilitated workshops.

In 2009, she was selected by Laurent Linn, Art Director of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, as one of his three "mentees" in the Nevada SCBWI Mentor Program. After receiving a Nevada Arts Council Jackpot Grant to help fund her participation in the six month progam, she worked with Laurent through character and scene revisions as well rendering three scenes from the "Wizard of OZ."

Like the message that rings from the Land of OZ,
Cynthia believes that dreams are as close as your own backyard.
